Family OS

A private assistant, for one family at a time.

Family OS is a private household task list, operated as a sole proprietorship in Austin, Texas. Each household has its own dedicated phone number, and the only people who ever receive messages from that number are the adult members of that same household.

How it works

A member texts a task, reminder or photo to their household's number. Family OS files it and replies. Everything the household has filed appears on a shared private dashboard that only that household can see.

How people opt in

You opt in by sending the first message yourself — texting your household's number is the opt-in action. Family OSnever sends the first message to any number. Numbers are never purchased, imported, or messaged cold, and your household's number is given to you privately by the adult who set the household up.

What we send

• A short confirmation when something you texted in has been filed.
• An occasional clarifying question about a message you sent.
• A reminder when a household task is due within the next 48 hours.
• A weekly summary of the household's upcoming week.

Strictly household use. No marketing, no promotions, and no third-party content of any kind.

Message frequency, rates, and stopping

Message frequency varies with how much your household texts in — typically a few messages a week. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help. Stopping is per person: one member opting out does not affect anyone else in the household.
